An Adense referral can boost a sites earnings. When adding Adsense to your site there are a few things to take into consideration. Some believe it diminishes a brand while others believe it is a useful tool to promote visitation and it makes their content more profitable.
The deciding factor usually comes down to the commercial goals and the purpose of your website. A lot of businesses that sell products tend to place Adsense ads within their website also. At face value this does appear to be an odd move, promoting other services or products to your potential clientele base.

Adsense may be a questionable choice for many online retailers, but it is surely a good supplemental income for a variety of other online publishers. This has been the case for many bloggers. High numbers of traffic is the key.
Adsense is also aligned with publishers that use the service purely to provide links to adverts. When a person does a Google search, then clicks on an Adwords advert and is brought to a website that reads top ten resources on ..BLANK… This is a problem and is something that surfers find frustrating. The system is not completely perfect and there are a few kinks that need to be worked out.
Regardless of the disadvantages and the few bad websites that take advantage of the service it is still a useful tool for website visitors. Those that visit a website and click on a Adsense link generates a little income for the site owner.
The only thing that has Google worried is that a rival PPC program may offer a better deal and publishers may go elsewhere. I do believe if you are going to be involved in an Adsense type program it is best to stay with the big boys on the block, Google.

Also, you want to make sure that you have a well-written resource box. A resource box is where you are going to put links to your sites. When you are writing articles you must first give information. Then, you can add links in your resource box.
2. Blogs and Seo
Properly optimized blogs are a fantastic way to send traffic to your sites. The search engines love blogs. Blogs are continually updated and always giving the search engines new content to index. So, if you can maintain a properly optimized blog that targets long tail keywords in your niche, you will be above the competition when it comes to driving organic traffic.
Unfortunately, most people do not know how to optimize a blog or even know what a blog is. So, if you can use a properly optimized blog you will definitely have a head up on the competition.
3. Affiliates
If you are selling your own information product it is great to have affiliates. Affiliates go out and drive traffic to your site for a percentage of commission for doing so. So, if they send you a ton of traffic that results in 10 sales you do not need to pay them until those 10 sales are made. So, it is just like getting free traffic. You are not doing the work, and you do not have to pay for that traffic until sales are made.
This is a great way to drive traffic, but you need to have an affiliate program. There are many ways to start your own affiliate program. You can use your own hosted solution or there are many other solutions you can use that are hosted for you. It is all up to what you are trying to accomplish.

PC Hardware Troubleshooting Tips

Though they tend to cause some of the nastiest symptoms—computers that won't boot, scary and/or confusing error messages, etc.—computer hardware problems are usually the easiest type of problems to solve. The trick, as with all troubleshooting ventures, is to figure out where to start and then focus your efforts.
First, of course, you need to check the stupid stuff. You'd probably be amazed how many "problems" are solved by connecting the cables, or turning on the power switch that you swear you just did. Beyond that, double-check the snugness of your connections—jiggling in a new add-in card or screwing in a cable connection can (and often does) make a difference. You may even want to check the integrity of your cables and connectors. I once solved a baffling SCSI problem by noticing that one of the pins in a miniature 50-pin SCSI-II connector was bent. I had mistakenly presumed, prior to that, that a bent pin would have prevented me from making a connection at all, but it didn't. Unfortunately, as a result, I wasted several hours on something that could've taken two minutes.
Finally, whenever you install something new, whether it's more memory, a new drive, a plug-in card or what-have-you, and something doesn't work, it's more than likely because you made a mistake somewhere in the installation process. Step back through the process again, double- and triple-check your connections, and then try one more time. In the case of RAM that doesn't work or isn't recognized, it could be an incompatibility with the specific manufacturer of the RAM and your motherboard, so see if you can try a different brand before you give up hope. Finally, in some instances installing something new causes a conflict with something else--which is what the rest of this article is all about.
Driver Dilemmas
Once you're past the basics, it’s on to step two. As long as your computer boots, then there's a good chance the problem is related to missing, damaged, incompatible or improperly installed driver software, otherwise known simply as drivers. (If your PC doesn't start up, you may want to create a boot floppy disk—see "How to Create a 'Real' Windows 95 (or 98 or ME) Boot Disk" for more. In addition, you should check out the "PC Startup Troubleshooting Tips" article for more.)
Virtually every piece of hardware located inside or connected externally to your PC requires a driver to communicate and function with the operating system, applications, and other hardware components in your machine. Drivers essentially translate messages back and forth between the hardware in question and the operating system, thereby allowing your computer system to work as a unified whole (at least, in theory). The truth is, though appearances may suggest otherwise, any computer system is actually made up of a bunch of specialized pieces that don't speak the "native language" of other components and, therefore, require a great deal of translation to communicate and work effectively with them. When any of these various levels of translation break down, well, that's when you get problems.
The Device Manager is Your Friend
If you're running Windows 95, 98, or ME, your first stop after the computer finishes the startup process should be the Device Manager, a piece of operating system software that helps you manage the various pieces of your PC. You can get to the Device Manager in several different ways: the two easiest are right-clicking on the My Computer icon on your desktop and selecting Properties from the context menu that pops up when you do this, or by going to the Start menu, going up to Settings, selecting Control Panel from the list of choices and then double-clicking on the System control panel. Either way, you’ll be presented with a tabbed dialog box; click on the tab that says Device Manager, and you’re there.
The first thing to look for is a yellow exclamation point or red international no sign (you know, the circle with the slash through it) next to one of your devices. You may need to click on all the little plus signs next to each category of devices to see the full outline-like list of everything in your computer. If you see the yellow or red symbol, you know something is amiss. My first suggestion is to highlight the offending device and click on the Remove button. What this does is essentially erase the driver software associated with the device as well as references to it within the Windows 95/98/ME Registry. (The Registry tracks all the hardware and software you install, the preferences you set for each, as well as lots of other stuff). The fancy term for this is "logically" removing the device because, even though it may still be physically attached, the computer no longer has any record of its presence.
Next, you should restart your computer, let Windows' Plug-and-Play feature "find" the device again, and redo the driver installation process by either using the driver suggestions that Windows finds and makes or clicking on the Have Disk button and using the installer disks that came with the device. (If both options are possible, I’d go with the disks that came with the hardware—unless you’re sure they are an older version.) If the computer doesn’t find the device, then I would suspect the connections or the device itself. Buy another cable, unplug and re-plug the connectors, remove and then physically reinstall any new plug-in cards or do whatever you have to to ensure that the connection is solid. Once you’ve done that, you’ll find that many times, simply reinstalling the drivers solves the problem.
Other times the problem is due to an older version of a driver conflicting with something else on your system. It’s always a good idea to check for and get the latest versions of drivers that your PC needs. Check the manufacturer’s web site first and if you can’t find the driver, or drivers, there (or if the company is no longer in business), try searching for it at one of the web’s driver repositories, such as The Driver Zone, WinDrivers.Com, WinFiles, or Frank Condron's World o' Windows. If you're running Windows 98 or Windows ME, you may also be able to get a new driver for your hardware via the Windows Update feature off the Start menu.
If you find and download a new driver version, you can often update the driver by clicking on the device listing in the Device Manager, clicking on Properties, selecting the Driver Tab and then clicking on the Update Driver button. From there, depending on what version of Windows you’re using (the original Win95A, the revised Win95B, Win98, or Windows ME), you’ll either need to manually find where the file is located on your hard disk, and then select it, or the computer will attempt to find it for you. Either way, once the correct file is found, you initiate the update process by simply clicking a button.
Some driver updates force you to create new floppy disks, which you then use to update the driver. Frankly, though it’s more work initially, this is a good solution in the long run, I think, because if you ever have to completely reinstall Windows (such as, when you buy yourself a big new hard drive), you’ll generally want to have copies of your drivers on floppies anyway.
Mind your Ps and IRQs
Finally, if that still doesn’t work, you may need to futz with the dreaded IRQs, or Interrupt Requests. Most hardware devices on your computer need attention from the processor on a fairly regular basis (to check their status) and the mechanism for doing that is called Interrupt Requests (because the device politely asks the processor to interrupt what it’s doing at the time and give it some attention—well, sort of). Because of the need to maintain compatibility with older hardware, today’s PCs are still limited to 16 IRQs (numbered 0-15), which is turning out to be a fairly big problem on many newer, well-equipped computers (read one of my InfoWorld Electric "Plugged In" columns to learn more on the subject).
The general principle with IRQ troubleshooting is that two devices cannot typically share an IRQ (an important exception is with some PCI-based add-in cards), and if they try to, one or sometimes neither of the devices will work properly. If you find that you have an IRQ conflict, where two ISA cards or other non-PCI devices are trying to use the same IRQ, you’ll need to change the settings on one of the devices to an open IRQ. The problem is, not every device is able to use every IRQ, so even though you have other IRQs available, the problem device may be incapable of using one of the open IRQs. If that’s the case, you may need to move another device using one of the IRQs that the problem hardware does work with first, and then free up an IRQ for the problem hardware. So, for example, if IRQ 8 is open but you have a SCSI card that only works with IRQs 9 or 11, you may first need to move whatever’s on 11 to 8, and then set the SCSI card to IRQ 11. Unfortunately, this can sometimes lead to an infuriating puzzle game where you try to match devices with your IRQs.
To find out what IRQs are in use by your computer, double click the computer icon at the top of the Device Manager. You’ll see a new window pop up that shows which devices are using which IRQs. Unfortunately it doesn’t leave a blank for any IRQs that are not in use, so if you need to find an available IRQ you’ll have to look close, count the numbers and see if any are missing. If a number between 0 and 15 is missing, that means that particular IRQ is available.
Some older plug-in cards require you to change the IRQs by setting tiny DIP switches on the card itself, or via a dedicated configuration utility. Most newer Plug-and-Play cards can be changed via Windows 95 or Windows 98. To do so, go to the Device Manager, highlight the product in question, click on the Properties button and then go to Resources Tab. Generally, you’ll have to deselect the Use Automatic Settings button to make any changes. Most devices offer several Basic Configuration choices, which is what you should try first. These are different combinations of IRQs, memory ranges, and I/O ranges. All you typically need to worry about is the IRQ. Some devices also let you adjust these parameters individually by clicking the Change Settings button.
Thankfully, you rarely have to worry about IRQ problems if you’re using Windows 95, 98 or ME because they all do a pretty good job of automatically fixing them before they arise. In fact, this is one of their most important, yet little discussed improvements over Windows 3.1. Unfortunately, Windows 3.0 and 3.1 users still have to worry about this kind of stuff on a semi-regular basis. The problem is not unheard of under Windows 95, 98 or ME, however (I ran into it myself), which is why I’ve included it here.

These tips won’t solve all the hardware problems you may run into, but they should solve a good number of them. The important thing to remember when doing any troubleshooting is that computers really are logical devices and there’s always a logical reason for why something isn’t working. Discovering what that reason is and then applying the right solution isn’t always easy (or intuitive), but if you think about the problem logically and work through it step-by-step, there’s a good chance you’ll be able to solve it on your own. No only are blogs the hottest thing on the ‘net right now, but they are custom-made for Google’s AdSense program. Why? It’s simple. Blogs represent constantly changing and fresh content to Google’s search engine spiders. Feeding fresh content to those little spiders is just like tossing raw meat to a tiger. They just gobble it up. The more pages of your blog that get indexed, the more traffic you get. And the more traffic you get, the more exposure your AdSense ads get. Are you beginning to see where I’m heading here?
It’s not just Google that loves new content, all of the major engines do. In fact, some web-savvy bloggers are testing Google ads on one page and Overture ads on the other. It doesn’t take too long to see which ads are doing the best when you have nearly side-by-side comparison statistics to look at. Just don’t make the mistake of putting Google and Overture ads on the same page together. While they won’t kill each other like a pair of Siamese fighting fish in the same bowel will, you will be violating both sites’ Terms of Service, and it isn’t worth killing the goose (geese) that laid the golden egg.
It’s a snap to set up Google AdSense ads on your blog. Everything you need to know is right inside of the Google control panel. What’s not so easy is figuring out what ads are going to appear on each page. Since Google targets your key words, and your blog articles could possible wander towards any subject, you never know what you’re going to get.
Well, “never” is a strong word because there actually IS a way to pre-test your blog’s ads before you post your newest edition. Here’s what you do:
• Write your blog article like you normally would
• Plug in your AdSense code and then post your newest page to a sub directory that’s not part of your blog.
• Click refresh a few times until Google wakes up and starts sending ads.
• If you don’t like what you see then fine-tune the article until you see the types of ads that you’re looking for.
With some ads paying as much as $5 per click or more, I’d certainly spend an extra 30 minutes or so tweaking my blog. That’s for sure.
If you’re working hard to get your blog in front of visiting eyeballs, then it doesn’t make any sense at NOT to be using Google AdSense to draw every penny out of your site that’s possible. OK, that’s the end of the article. Now get busy tweaking your blog and checking your ads. You’ve got money waiting to be made!

Adsense is beginning to make a huge impact on the affiliate marketing industry today. Because of this, weak affiliate merchants have the tendency to die faster than ever and ad networks will be losing their customers quickly.
If you are in a losing rather than winning in the affiliate program you are currently promoting, maybe it is about time to consider going into the Adsense marketing and start earning some real cash.
Google is readily providing well written and highly relevant ads that are closely chosen to match the content on your pages. You do not have to look for them yourselves as the search engine will be the doing the searching for you from other people’s source.
You also don't have to spend time in choosing different kind of ads for different pages. Google makes it very easy for you, with no codes to mess around for different affiliate programs.
You will be able to concentrate on providing good and quality content, as the search engines will be the ones finding the best ads in which to put your pages on.
You are still allowed to add Adsense ads even if you already have affiliate links on your site. It is prohibited, however, to imitate the look and feel of the Google ads for your affiliate links. One of the things you can do, however, is to utilize Google's custom palette to customize your Google ads, making them to appear a part of the web page itself. The idea here is to match background and links to match the theme of your site. People on the internet today are trained to click on a link that is blue, and if your Google ads have the same theme as your web page, it makes the Google ads appear to be a portion of your "content."
You can also filter up to 200 URLs. This gives you a chance to block ads for the sites that do not meet your guidelines, and also block competitors. Remember that it is unavoidable that Adsense may be competing for some space on web sites that all other revenues are sharing.
Owners of small sites are allowed to plug a bit of a code into their sites and instantly have relevant text ads that appeal to your visitors appear instantly on your pages. If you own many sites, you only need to apply once. Then ,you are issued a unique "publisher ID", which can be used on any site you currently own. A small snippet of Javascript is placed on your site in the location you wish the ads to appear in, and generally speaking, the ads from Goggle will appear in minutes. Tips sebelum mengganti template blogger
Beberapa hari belakangan ini blog ini sudah beberapa kali berganti template, berawal dari rasa bosan terhadap template blogger saya yang lama. Sebenarnya alasan utama bukan itu, melainkan template blogger yang lama tidak bisa ditampilkan secara sempurna di internet explorer, bagian sidebar bloggernya nggak pas dan sangat tidak enak dipandang mata. template anda gimana, sudah anda periksa?
Sebelumnya tidak pernah saya perhatikan dan ternyata hal ini sangat mempengaruhi traffic blog ini. Nggak kebayangkan klu orang yang datang keblog ini melalui browser internet explorer, pasti melihat blog ini berantakan dan sialnya image blog ini pasti akan jelek dimata pengunjung tersebut. Nah, klu begini kemungkinan dia akan berkunjung lagi akan sangat kecil. Benar nggak?
Itulah beberapa kesalahan yang selama ini tidak pernah saya sadari dan ternyata itu sangat fatal. Untuk itu saya ingin menyampaikan buat teman2 yang mau mengganti template bloggernya sebaiknya jangan lupa untuk memperhatikan beberapa hal berikut ini:
1. Backup Template Blogger
Untuk menghindari hal-hal yang tidak kita inginkan dan memungkinkan untuk kembali lagi ketemplate blogger lama kita. Maka langkah ini wajib hukumnya buat anda yang ingin mengganti template blogger, cara membackup template blogger lihat disini.
2. Sediakan template Blogger
Caranya bisa anda desain template blogger sendiri dan tentu saja membutuhkan skill khusus pemrograman atau anda bisa memakai template blogger gratisan, lalu download dan upload
keblog anda. Untuk mencari template blogger gratis anda bisa melihatnya di www.bloggertricks.com, www.ourblogtemplates.com, etc. Buat anda yang suka gratisan bisa juga mencari melalui mesin pencari google dengan kata kunci "free template blogger","download free template blogspot","template blogger gratis", dll.
3. Test Blog
Sebelum mengganti template blogger, ada baiknya coba dulu diblog yang lain misalnya anda buat sebuah blog baru di blogger.com sebagai tempat latihan atau testing (blog yg sengaja dibuat untuk ngetest template tersebut atau bisa juga untuk ngetest trik blog yg baru anda ketahui). Tujuannya agar pengunjung blog anda tidak merasa terganggu dengan proses maintenance blog yang anda lakukan.
4. Test di Beberapa Browser
Khususnya template blogger gratisan tidak di desain untuk banyak browser, jadi tidak jarang template blogger yang kita gunakan tidak bisa ditampilkan secara sempurna dibrowser Internet explorer misalnya atau mungkin dibrowser internet lainnya. Tapi, bukan berarti nggak ada yang bagus lhoo... ada juga template gratisan tapi kualitasnya bagus dan support untuk banyak browser. Jadi, setelah proses mengganti template blog selesai coba lihat di hasilnya dengan browser mozilla, trus lihat juga dengan internet explorer, opera, dll.
5. Grafik Besar & Terlalu Banyak
Beberapa hari yang lalu blog ini menggunakan template techlure dari www.bloggertricks.com, template ini cukup menawan, sejuk dipandang, pokoknya menurut saya okey-lah. Tapi setelah 2 hari berikutnya template blog (terchlure) ini kelihatan sangat berantakan seperti habis dijatuhi bom atom (hiperbola). Mungkin diantara teman2 blogger juga pernah melihatnya.
Ternyata template blog ini (techlure) disusun dengan banyak grafik, mulai dari background sampai icon2. Dan pada saat terlalu banyak yang menggunakan template ini, server tempat image/gambar (http://photobucket.com) disimpan overload sehingga image background/grafik tidak bisa ditampilkan dan jadi berantakan sekali. Kerugian lainnya loading page blog jadi lambat dan bisa berakibat rekan2 pembaca jadi kabur.
6. Simpan Gambar/Grafik/Image Template
Khusus untuk template blog yang menggunakan Gambar/image, sebaiknya anda simpan dihosting sendiri (yg gratisan juga bisa seperti: http://photobucket.com), agar kejadian yang saya alami tidak terjadi juga kepada blog anda. Tapi jangan lupa minta izin dulu sama yang empunya templatenya biar anda nggak dianggap mencuri.
Okey, semoga tips diatas bisa membantu anda yang ingin mengganti template blogger. Mmmm....saya yakin tips ini masih belum memadai, jadi saya tunggu ya saran2 dari teman2 blogger untuk melengkapinya. Ntar klu tipsnya keren abis, saya kasi link gratis keblognya (he... he... he...).

Dari beberapa program untuk menghasilkan uang dari internet, google adsense masih menjadi favorit bagi para publisher. Terutama bagi mereka yang masih baru dalam berbisnis online ini. Tetapi juga tidak sedikit para pemain lama juga ikut mengidolakannya. Kenapa bisa demikian? karena disamping programnya yang sudah teruji, juga bisa dipercaya. Syarat untuk mengikutinya pun tidak berbelit seperti kebanyakan pesaingnya. Cukup menyediakan sebuah blog dengan isi murni (bukan hasil generator dari program/software) dan harus memakai bahasa yang sudah didukung oleh google adsense.
Apa benar hanya semudah itu? Saya sendiri berpendapat bahwa untuk mengikuti program ini bisa dibilang mudah. Berbekal blog gratis pun bisa untuk mengikuti program ini. Tetapi bukan berarti mudah dalam mendapatkan dolarnya. Bukan karena harus banyak mengetahui tip atau triknya, tetapi lebih cenderung ke pengunjung blog, karena semakin banyak pengunjung blog/website anda, semakin besar juga kemungkinan anda mendapatkan lebih banyak dolar.
Dalam bisnis adsense tidak beda jauh dengan bisnis-bisnis lainnya. Kejujuran menjadi prioritas, sehingga diharapkan pengikut program ini harus bertindak jujur, karena jika tidak jujur dan ketahuan oleh pihak google, maka anda tidak diperbolehkan lagi mengikuti program ini. Jadi apabila mendaftarkan lagi dengan nama, alamat atau unsur-unsur lain yang sama, tetap tidak akan diterima, karena semua itu sudah masuk dalam daftar hitam google. Yang jujur pun juga tidak luput dari masalah ini, karena bisa saja pihak lain tidak suka dengan kita, lalu memakai cara-cara licik untuk menjatuhkan nama baik kita. Tidak hanya itu saja, tetapi masih ada beberapa faktor lain yang sering kita tidak mengetahui apa yang menjadi penyebab tidak diberlakukannya lagi account kita.

Saat ini, ponsel juga telah menggunakan sistem operasi terbuka seperti Symbian dan Windows Mobile, sehingga aplikasi buatan pihak ketiga bisa melengkapi kecanggihan dari fungsi standar pabrikan. Sistem operasi terbuka inilah yang akhirnya menjadi celah bagi masuknya program jahat, seperti virus, worm, dan juga Trojan horse.
Ngomong-ngomong mengenai virus ponsel, sebenarnya apa sih virus ponsel itu? Virus pada ponsel berarti segala program atau kode yang dapat menyebabkan aplikasi atau fitur ponsel tidak dapat digunakan semestinya. Biasanya virus disamarkan dalam bentuk yang menarik seperti game ataupun gambar. Supaya lebih menarik lagi, permainan ataupun gambar tersebut diselipkan kata-kata seronok.
Virus yang dapat menyerang ponsel dan PDA pertama kali ditemukan sekitar Juli 2004, saat ahli selular menemukan software yang mampu berpindah dan memperbanyak diri dengan perantara Bluetooth. Virus ini dinamakan Cabir. Setelah itu mulai bermunculan virus lain, seperti Commwarrior-A yang menyusup pada game The Mosquitos. Lalu muncul lagi virus ponsel yang dapat mengirim MMS otomatis ke nomor yang ada dalam inbox.
Virus bukan satu-satunya perusak ponsel. Ada worm atau cacing yang bertempat tinggal pada memori ponsel yang aktif dan bisa menduplikasi dengan sendirinya. Worm menyebar ke ponsel lain melalui e-mail, chatting, LAN, dan Bluetooth.
Berbagai Virus Ponsel
Contoh virus jenis worm ini adalah Cabir. Cabir menyebar melalui koneksi Bluetooth dan masuk ke dalam ponsel melalui inbox, misalnya berupa file dengan ekstensi sys (mirip aplikasi Symbian). Saat file sis tersebut diklik dan di-install, Cabir mulai mencari mangsa baru, yaitu ponsel dengan akses Bluetooth terbuka untuk menginfeksinya. Nama lain dari Cabir adalah SymbOS/Cabir.A, atau bisa juga dinamai Cabir.A,Worm atau bisa juga disebut virus Caribe.
Cabir akan mengaktifkan Bluetooth secara periodik sekitar 15-20 menit sekali. Tidak ada kerusakan file yang terjadi apabila ponsel kita terkena virus ini, tapi baterai akan cepat habis karena dipakai untuk mencari perangkat Bluetooth aktif lainnya. Untuk mencegahnya, yang dapat dilakukan adalah mematikan fitur Bluetooth di ponsel kita dan kita hanya mengaktifkan saat dibutuhkan saja.
Selain Cabir, salah satu jenis virus worm lainnya adalah Commwarrior yang menyebar melalui MMS dan koneksi Bluetooth. Setiap tanggal 14, ponsel akan me-reset dengan sendirinya. Nama lain dari Commwarrior antara lain adalah SymbOS/commwarrior.a.
Commwarrior menyebar dengan cara mengirim file yang menarik ke ponsel kita. Salah satu cara untuk mencegahnya adalah dengan tidak menggunakan Bluetooth secara sembarangan dan jangan menerima file yang tidak diketahui asal-usulnya.
Perusak ponsel lainnya adalah Trojan Horse. Trojan Horse adalah suatu program jahat yang berpura-pura ramah. Trojan dapat merusak program pada ponsel. Trojan tidak dapat menduplikasi dirinya seperti worm.
Salah satu jenis dari Trojan adalah Skulls dengan nama lengkap SymbOS.skulls. Nama lain dari virus ini adalah SKULLS.A. Skulls akan mengganti sistem di dalam ponsel dan menyebabkan icon menu utama berubah menjadi gambar tengkorak.
Tidak hanya gambar yang diubah, Skulls juga akan melumpuhkan aplikasi yang icon-nya tadi diubah. Jadi pada saat kita memencet icon dari aplikasi tersebut, maka akan muncul pesan sistem error. Terdapat tiga jenis skulls yaitu Skulls A, Skulls C, dan Skulls H. Cara mencegah virus ini adalah dengan menolak meng-install aplikasi ini dan selalu menutup koneksi Bluetooth saat tidak dibutuhkan.

Cara kerja dari virus ini adalah dengan membuat file korup (rusak) dan setelah ponsel terinfeksi maka virus lainnya akan ditempatkan dalam ponsel kita. File yang korup tadi akan membuat ponsel tidak dapat melakukan booting.
Virus Doomboot masuk ke dalam ponsel dengan seakan-akan menyerupai game Doom versi Symbian. Virus ini sangat pandai menyaru, karena setelah ponsel terinfeksi, tidak ada tanda apa pun bahwa ponsel telah terinfeksi virus. Virus ini juga secara otomatis akan menyebar melalui Bluetooth dan mengakibatkan konsumsi baterai ponsel menjadi berlebihan sehingga baterai cepat habis. Doomboot akan membuat ponsel tidak dapat melakukan booting saat kita mematikan ponsel dan menyalakan kembali.
Cegah dengan Antivirus Canggih
Sebagai langkah antisipasi dari virus-virus di atas, Anda perlu meng-install antivirus. Salah satunya Kaspersky Mobile Security. Kaspersky adalah perusahaan antivirus dari Rusia. Meskipun harganya murah meriah, Haier C2000 ini bisa dipakai sebagai modem CDMA lho. Cuma karena dikunci dengan operator Mobile-8, ponsel hanya bisa diisi nomor Fren. Saat ini tarif akses internet Fren ada dua pilihan, yaitu Rp 5/kb (berbasis volume data) atau Rp 160/menit (berbasis waktu).
Sebelum ponsel bisa dipakai sebagai modem, siapkan dulu ini:
1. Komputer (PC) atau laptop dengan OS Windows
2. Kabel data miniUSB ke USB.
Kabel data miniUSB ke USB ini mudah didapatkan dan harganya murah, karena merupakan kabel standar yang masal, yaitu kabel USB dengan 5 pin. Banyak dipakai untuk kabel data ponsel, kamera digital, harddisk eksternal, card reader, sampai MP3 player. Colokan miniUSB ditancapkan ke ponsel, dan USB ke komputer. Enaknya, kabel data di Haier C2000 ini sekaligus berfungsi melakukan charging. Alhasil tak perlu khawatir ponsel kehabisan batere, jika dipakai mengakses internet berlama-lama.
3. Driver modem untuk Haier C2000
Driver modem bisa diunduh gratis di http://www.ziddu.com/download/1994551/usb-driver-c2000.zip.html. Setelah diunduh, ekstraksilah driver dan buatkan folder baru.
Tahapan Setting Internet
1. Nyalakan ponsel, lalu hubungkan kabel data ke ponsel dan komputer. Secara otomatis, komputer akan mendeteksi dan muncul pesan Found new Hardware. Saat itu juga ponsel akan langsung mengalami charging. Selanjutnya, pada pesan Welcome to the Found New Hardware Wizard, pilih No, not this time, lalu Next agar Windows tidak melakukan Update.
Lanjutkan dengan memilih Install from a list or specific location, lalu Include this location in the search, dan arahkan ke folder driver modem yang telah diunduh sebelumnya. Tunggu beberapa saat sampai proses instalasi driver selesai. Jika berhasil, di pojok kanan bawah akan muncul pesan Found New Hardware, Your new hardware is installed dan ready to use.
2. Lanjutkan dengan masuk ke Start>Settings>Control Panel>System, lalu pilih tab Hardware>Device Manager. Lihatlah pada pilihan Modems. Jika driver sudah ter-install dengan baik, akan muncul (terdeteksi) nama modem-nya, dalam hal ini Qualcomm Proprietary USB Modem (PID 3197).
3. Tahap berikutnya adalah membuat koneksi. Masih di Control Panel, pilih Network Connection. Lalu pilih New Connection Wizard. Setelah menu wizard keluar, pilih Next, dan beri tanda centang pada Connect to The Internet. Klik Next dan beri tanda centang pada Set Up My Connection Manually, lalu klik Next. Lanjutkan dengan memilih Connect a Dial-up Modem, dan masukan nama ISP (misalnya Hepi atau Fren), lalu klik Next, dan di phone number masukkan (#777), lalu klik Next.
4. Di menu terakhir, munculah pilihan username dan password. Isikan data berikut :
Username : m8, password : m8, confirm password : m8, klik Next dan selesai. Beri tanda centang pada Add a shortcut to this connection to my dekstop, dan klik Finish. Hal ini akan menempatkan icon koneksi yang telah dibuat di bagian depan (Dekstop) sehingga mudah digunakan. Lakukan koneksi pada koneksi yang baru dibuat, icon koneksi muncul di desktop. Cara lain adalah lewat Start >Setting > Network Connection, cari nama koneksi yang telah dibuat dan dobel klik.
5. Tekan Dial pada menu Connect yang muncul.Tunggu beberapa saat untuk masuk (login) ke jaringan operator. Jika sukses akan segera terlihat icon di bagian bawah, misalnya “hepi-fren is now connected, Speed: 115.2 Kbps”
6. Buka browser Internet Explorer, dan masuk ke Tools>Internet Options. Klik tab Connections di bagian atas, dan pilih Always dial my default connection, lalu Apply dan OK. Untuk browser lain, misalnya Mozila Firefox, masuk ke Tools>Options>Advanced>Network>Settings, lalu pilih Direct connection to the internet, lalu OK. Browser siap digunakan.
7. Untuk mengetahui aktivitas data keluar masuk, klik icon di kanan bawah, dan pilih Status. Maka akan terlihat besaran datan yang masuk (received) dan keluar (Sent). Jika ingin mengakhiri, di atas ikon yang sama, pilih Disconnect. Dari pengujian di kantor Sinyal di daerah Palmerah, Jakarta, kecepatannya memang agak kurang utamanya untuk download. Tapi cukup lumayan untuk browsing, apalagi harga ponsel plus nomornya hanya Rp 100 ribuan.
Meskipun harganya murah meriah, Haier C2000 ini bisa dipakai sebagai modem CDMA lho. Cuma karena dikunci dengan operator Mobile-8, ponsel hanya bisa diisi nomor Fren. Saat ini tarif akses internet Fren ada dua pilihan, yaitu Rp 5/kb (berbasis volume data) atau Rp 160/menit (berbasis waktu).
Sebelum ponsel bisa dipakai sebagai modem, siapkan dulu ini:
1. Komputer (PC) atau laptop dengan OS Windows
2. Kabel data miniUSB ke USB.
Kabel data miniUSB ke USB ini mudah didapatkan dan harganya murah, karena merupakan kabel standar yang masal, yaitu kabel USB dengan 5 pin. Banyak dipakai untuk kabel data ponsel, kamera digital, harddisk eksternal, card reader, sampai MP3 player. Colokan miniUSB ditancapkan ke ponsel, dan USB ke komputer. Enaknya, kabel data di Haier C2000 ini sekaligus berfungsi melakukan charging. Alhasil tak perlu khawatir ponsel kehabisan batere, jika dipakai mengakses internet berlama-lama.
3. Driver modem untuk Haier C2000
Driver modem bisa diunduh gratis di http://www.ziddu.com/download/1994551/usb-driver-c2000.zip.html. Setelah diunduh, ekstraksilah driver dan buatkan folder baru.
Tahapan Setting Internet
1. Nyalakan ponsel, lalu hubungkan kabel data ke ponsel dan komputer. Secara otomatis, komputer akan mendeteksi dan muncul pesan Found new Hardware. Saat itu juga ponsel akan langsung mengalami charging. Selanjutnya, pada pesan Welcome to the Found New Hardware Wizard, pilih No, not this time, lalu Next agar Windows tidak melakukan Update.
Lanjutkan dengan memilih Install from a list or specific location, lalu Include this location in the search, dan arahkan ke folder driver modem yang telah diunduh sebelumnya. Tunggu beberapa saat sampai proses instalasi driver selesai. Jika berhasil, di pojok kanan bawah akan muncul pesan Found New Hardware, Your new hardware is installed dan ready to use.
